Tammi E. Smorynski

Tammi Smorynski is the architect of and lead instructor for the Institute’s advanced investment curriculum which addresses a range of investment, investment management and portfolio management topics. She also is a fellow on the Keystone CVC benchmarking and advisory team, with a specialty in complex portfolio management.

Prior to joining the Institute, Tammi spent 24 years with Intel Capital, most recently as Managing Director. She has worked with over 100 portfolio companies, serving on five boards and acting as Intel Capital board observer for more than 60 companies. She had three successful IPOs, more than 25 M&A exits and worked on more than 25 private placements and winddown transactions. She assisted with the divestiture of Intel’s RFID transceiver business to Impinj. She also played an active role in designing and delivering training and development programs and providing coaching for the Intel Capital investment team as well as Business Unit partners.

Prior to Intel Capital, Tammi was with J.P. Morgan & Co., where she focused on leveraged buyout transactions, mergers, and acquisitions. Previously, she was an Audit Officer at J.P. Morgan & Co. covering a diverse set of investment banking operations from derivatives trading to global custody.

She passed the CPA Exam in 1991 and earned an MBA from the Anderson School at UCLA and a bachelor’s degree in accounting/international management from Georgetown University.

Tammi serves her passion for developing the next generation as a substitute high school teacher at Valley Christian High School.
